How to use GlobalHealthSphere
GlobalHealthSphere is an interactive data platform presenting the results of the JA GHI cross-national survey on stakeholders’ awareness, knowledge and alignment with the EU Global Health Strategy.
The platform is organised around three main types of content: a cross-country overview on the Home page, a word cloud exploring open-ended responses, and a set of country-level dashboards.
The Home page – Survey at a glance
The Home page gives you an immediate sense of the survey’s scope and key results.
At the top, a set of animated counters displays the headline figures: total number of respondents, countries covered, categories of responding stakeholders, and the overall percentage results for the main survey questions (awareness of the EU Strategy, support for alignment, perceived usefulness of a national strategy, and more).
Below the counters, a set of Key findings buttons lets you switch between thematic overviews directly on the page – from the distribution of responding stakeholders by institutional type, to awareness levels, national strategy status, awareness channels, and alignment support. Click each button to update the visualisation.
The Word Cloud – What participants say
The word cloud visualises the most frequently recurring terms in participants’ open-ended responses across all 20 countries. The larger the word, the more often it appeared in the answers. It gives a quick qualitative impression of what stakeholders most associate with the EU Global Health Strategy.
Use the category filter buttons below the cloud to narrow the view by thematic area: All, Communication, Implementation, Cooperation & Dialogue, Stakeholders & Actors, Governance & Policy. Clicking a category highlights only the terms belonging to that theme, making it easier to focus on the topics most relevant to you.
Country Dashboards – Full national overview
Each country has a dedicated dashboard page, accessible by clicking on the country name or flag. This is where you can explore the complete set of survey results for that country.
At the top of the dashboard, a row of KPI metric cards shows the headline figures for the country at a glance: number of respondents, level of EU Strategy awareness, support for alignment, and so on.
Below the metrics, topic filter buttons let you navigate between thematic sections – Respondents, Awareness, Alignment, Communication, Coordination – or view all charts at once with the All topics button. Clicking a filter shows only the charts relevant to that theme; the others are dimmed.
Each section contains one or more interactive charts (donut charts and bar charts) displaying the distribution of responses to individual survey questions. Hover over chart segments to read exact percentages.
At the bottom of each dashboard, a Key messages section summarises the main insights emerging from the open-ended responses of stakeholders in that country, organised by theme. This is the qualitative complement to the charts and offers contextual interpretation of the quantitative data.
