EU Global Health Strategy: Better Health For All in a Changing World

Published by the European Commission in 2022, this document sets out the EU’s comprehensive framework for global health action through to 2030. It defines three core policy priorities – delivering better health and well-being for people across the life course, strengthening health systems and advancing universal health coverage, and preventing and combating health threats through a One Health approach – and translates them into 20 guiding principles and concrete lines of action. The Strategy also outlines a new governance model for coordinating EU and Member State efforts, expanding international partnerships, and ensuring accountable, well-funded global health leadership under the Team Europe approach.

Technical report – Results of a Cross-National Analysis of the Awareness, knowledge and Alignment of European stakeholders

This Technical Report, approved in March 2026 and developed within Work Package 7 (WP7) of the JA GHI (Joint Action on Global Health Initiative), presents the results of a cross-national survey conducted across 20 European countries. The survey assessed the level of awareness, knowledge, and alignment of key stakeholders – including government authorities, academia, civil society organizations, and healthcare providers – with respect to the EU Global Health Strategy (2022–2030). Drawing on responses from 151 participants, the report examines how the Strategy is perceived and operationalized at the national level, identifies communication and governance gaps, and outlines priorities for strengthening dissemination, national anchoring, and coordination mechanisms across Europe.
